meet Fabio
A deep rooted passion for wine is the foundation of Sella Vinoteca. Growing up on the Mediterranean island of Sardinia, Fabio Dore was helping in his uncle’s vineyards from an early age, which started his inspired journey into wine and food. Sella Vinoteca is where this all comes together in the wine bar & restaurant with focus on Mediterranean food. The food is designed to match the extensive selection of wines such as Vermentino from Sardinia, Sangiovese from Tuscany or Grampians or Albariño from Rias Baixas. Come for a glass of wine or stay for a full meal, let the team impart their extensive wine knowledge & help you find your new favourite amongst the more than 350 wines available. And best of all, you will be able to pick up a bottle or 2 from their cellar to take home. Did we mention wine?

read more - URBAN:LISTSella Vinoteca is the freshest addition to Randwick’s humming Newmarket dining precinct—and it might just be our favourite new wine bar and bottle shop. Edging the park and play gym on the south side of Newmarket, it feels a bit like a suburban secret, stacked with around 350 bottles of hard-to-find Italian, local, and international wines—and an eclectic, but total standout menu to match.

A highlight in Randwick’s burgeoning food scene is Sella Vinoteca, a cellar door-style bistro that will transport you to the Mediterranean.
Its name translates to ‘saddle wine shop’ – a nod to the former stables the venue is found on, and a stone’s throw away from the suburb’s titular racecourse.
